Use consistency to your advantage with product photos

Consistency makes it easy for visitors to explore and compare products across your most important pages.

In this example from The Sill, consistency allows them to make limited edition products stand out more. All product photos have the same darker gray background, while those marked "limited edition" have a brighter white background and are held in hand or are accompanied by a colorful setting.

Consistency allows visitors to easily see the differences between your products without any visual noise. Once a visitor knows what a product photo is supposed to look like, you're able to easily engage them with deviations from the norm you've established.
